The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies has won a special award.
The foundation won third place in a competition sponsored by NRG Energy, taking home $5,000.
The award money will go towards developing the September 11th National Memorial Trail, which will connect the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., Ground Zero in New York City and the Flight 93 Memorial site in Shanksville.
