A program in Johnstown is working to help mental health patients and drug addicts get back on track.
The coffee shop “One Cup At A Time on Walnut Avenue is part of the Alternative Resource Program, intended for those struggling with their mental health or addiction.
This program comes with many of the same responsibilities as a paying job, with the goal of a smooth transition back into society.
The director says the each peer is partnered with a specialist who has also dealt with a setback.
Folks can also stop by the ‘Second Chance’ thrift store also located at the ARP building.
