The race for Pennsylvania governor is heating up as republican Senator Scott Wagner, (R-York) declared his candidacy for governor Thursday, in a statewide tour.
Wagner made a stop in Altoona and said the Wolf Administration’s failed policies have crippled the state’s economy and said his experience as a business man will help bring change to Harrisburg,
“I’m a private sector business guy. It isn’t hard. If you are used to operating a business, you know what works and what doesn’t work, and I’m telling ya, Harrisburg isn’t working,” Wagner said. And so when I went to Harrisburg, I knew it was going to be bad, but it’s actually five times worse.”
Wagner said part of that is because special interest groups have too much power and influence.
He is the first candidate to formally throw his name in the ring for the race in 2018.
