A Centre County firefighter was taken to the hospital on Saturday after responding to a house fire.
It happened at 311 Upper George’s Valley Road just before 5:00 p.m. The fire allegedly started as a grease fire in the kitchen. The owners were home at the time, but made it out safely. A family pet perished in the blaze.
The chief of Centre Hall Fire Company believes the home is a total loss.
