One person is dead and a firefighter is injured after a fire ripped through a home in Snyder Township early Tuesday morning.
Fire crews and the State Fire Marshall were on scene for several hours at the home on the 200 block of Cambria Street.
Five companies reported to the fire shortly after 3:00 a.m. after the house was fully engulfed.
Lieutenant Lance Geissinger was at the scene of the fire when a flue struck him. Geissinger was taken to UPMC Altoona for surgery, where he is now recovering.
The home is a total lost and will be torn down.
Officials have not released the name of the person who died in the fire.
