An area man’s proposal promoted a bigger response than he expected.

Alpha Fire Company in State College was dispatched to Pine Grove Mills at Jo Hays Vista for a grass fire Saturday evening. Turns out, the fire was a ring of candles set up for a marriage proposal!

The Alpha’s posted a photo of the couple on their Facebook page. The woman said yes.
