Months after a passenger died in a Centre County crash, the driver is now facing homicide charges.

Police said Tyler Fasig failed to negotiate the left turn onto North Atherton from Blue Course Drive on Sept. 9, when the SUV he was driving hit the curb and rolled onto its side, killing his passenger 20-year old Byron Markle.

Both Fasig and Markle were students at Penn State.

Fasig, who had alcohol in his system, is facing several charges including: homicide by vehicle while under the influence, aggravated assault and involuntary manslaughter.
