Frito-Lay announced a voluntary recall of their Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos tortilla chips because they may contain an undeclared milk ingredient.

There are no reported illnesses, but they could pose a threat to those with lactose allergies.

The recall was initiated after discovering some Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos were inadvertently filled with Nacho Cheese Doritos.

The impacted products are 3 1/8 oz. bags with a “guaranteed fresh” date of August 9.  The UPC code is 28400-42119 and the manufacturing code is 2711-152-05 or 2712-152-05.

The recalled product has been distributed through Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. However, no other states have been impacted.

The recalled product also includes additional undeclared ingredients including Yellow 5, Artificial Flavor, Tomato Powder, other Artificial Color (including Yellow 6 and Red 40), Lactic Acid, Citric Acid, and Red and Green Bell Pepper Powder.

Consumers are advised to return the product to the retailer for a full refund or to contact Frito-Lay Consumer Relations at 1-800-352-4477.
