The Cambria County DA’s office handed out cameras to three police departments as part of wave 2 of their ‘Cameras in Cruisers’ program.
The 10 new cameras are going to police departments in Richland township, East Taylor Township and Nanty Glo.
The county DA’s office is covering the cost of the new cameras.
Officers tell us that the cameras are especially important in cases of domestic violence where many victims are reluctant to report their injuries.
