A husband and wife in Cambria County represented their business across the globe.
Kevin and Julie Doyle own “Up N Running,” a specialty walking and running store.
The couple opened up shop two years ago in Ebensburg.
They just got back from a trip to Verona, Italy.
The two signed up for a half marathon which is 13.1 miles.
They said whether it’s Central PA or another country, running is a universal language.
“Really it’s an amazing way to be able to see different parts of the world that you may not get to experience otherwise,” Julie said.
“It’s really interesting hearing the different languages, people cheering on runners in different ways. Like in italy for example they say “Vai, Vai, Bravo, Bravo!” so it’s just interesting how the different cultures cheer people on and motivate the runners out there,” Kevin said.
Kevin came in 32nd out of about 7,000.
He said now they want to make a group for locals to join and travel with them to other races.
