The City of Johnstown is mourning the loss of a police officer.

 

Officer Shawn Rager passed away at his home in Richland Township, Cambria County, overnight of natural causes.

 

The coroner said Rager had an enlarged heart and could have played a role in his death.

 

Rager, who was just 45 years old, spent 23 years with the Johnstown Police Department.  His colleagues say he was a member of the drug task force and dedicated to servicing his community.
