The Central Pennsylvania Humane Society (CPHS) is looking for volunteers to take care of some of their animals.
They’re short on staff and are asking anyone with free time to come in to help them clean cages for the cats and dogs.
Cat room duties include moving cats to and from carriers, scrubbing cages and refreshing blankets, scooping litter boxes, and feeding and watering them.
Dog duties include cleaning kennels and cages, feeding and watering the dogs, and refreshing the blankets. Cleaning volunteers are not allowed to handle the dogs unless they have completed the CPHS dog-walking course.
They are looking for volunteers for a cleaning shift on the following dates:
February 25 through February 27: Both the dog and cat side
February 28 through March 3: Just the cat side
The volunteers shifts are between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
If you are able to volunteer, you are asked to contact Laura Conrad at at cphsvolunteer@gmail.com with the date you are willing to fill.
