DuBois is applying to the State Department of Community and Economic Development to use grant funds for their Miracle Field.

A second public hearing for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application was held before Monday’s council meeting.

The city manager says  $273,000 would go to an all purpose baseball field for kids with handicapps. $49,000 of that will go towards administration.

Officials say about half of the city is low to moderate income and therefore projects benefiting the entire city will qualify for CDBG funds.
