Next month we will be hearing and seeing billions of 17-year-old Cicadas as they rise from the ground to mate.
The insects have spent their entire lives underground but now they will live above the ground for about six weeks, before most of them die off.
According to the Washington Post, during the upcoming mating season, there could be as many as 1.5 million Cicadas per acre in some places.
