As the weather turns cooler, thoughts turn to fa. This weekend, a DuBois church is holding its Fall Festival.

A church member and volunteer says St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church used to have this every other year, but it has been going continuously for seven years now, and it’s their biggest fundraiser.

She helps run a Chinese auction with more than 90 prizes, and says 13 vendors showed up on Friday. There’s also food including soups, and a bake sale.

“Sometimes you meet people that you see in church, but you didn’t know their name, so you meet them, and people come from all over the community,” says volunteer Bernice Withrow. “We had a lot of people outside, they’re selling big mums, huge mums.”

Withrow says they raised $10,000 for the church last year. The festival continues on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
