The Centre County Prison warden has been fired.
Thursday morning, Rick Smith, who has been the warden for four years, was official terminated from his position.
Wednesday, the county commissioners held an executive meeting to discuss Smith, and Thursday morning they voted unanimously to terminate Smith’s position if he did not resign.
They are not releasing why they came to this decision, citing a personnel matter.
