The Centre County Coroner said 60 year-old Jean Tuggy died from a gunshot wound to the face.
That’s according to a cremation authorization report filed in Centre County court Monday.
Until Tuesday, investigators have stayed tight-lipped about 60 year-old Jean Tuggy’s death.
Other than to say it was a homicide and detectives are working around the clock to figure out what happened, they’ve kept key facts in the case a secret, hoping it will pay off if someone comes forward with information.
The coroner’s office, the district attorney and Ferguson Township Police said they will not comment further, as it could compromise their investigation.
The report lists Tuggy’s date of death as January 20. The time of death is “unknown P.M.”
Tuggy was found dead inside of her Irion Street home in Pine Grove Mills nearly two weeks ago by two friends who were concerned about her well-being.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Ferguson Township Police.
