Blair County’s sixth annual Out of the Darkness Walk took place at Altoona High School today. The walk raises funds for research and education on suicide prevention and awareness. There were around 150 walkers that came together to take part in this community event.
The event’s Chairperson Kellie Kochara said, “People just lose so many loved ones to suicide and it’s important to get the community out to raise the awareness and prevention and to get people together.”
