Attorney General Kathleen Kane is warning Pennsylvanians to be careful with their charitable giving following the shooting massacre in Orlando.
Florida’s attorney general agreed saying that those wishing to donate should consider donating to established disaster-relief charities or an established aid organization.
To determine whether a charity is legitimate, check to see if they are registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Many state’s require charities to be registered before they solicit charitable gifts.
