The name of the man killed in a car crash Sunday morning has been released.
The Bedford County coroner said 25 year old Gary Strayer III, of Bedford, died on scene of the Cumberland Valley Township crash.
State Police said it happened just after 7:00 a.m. along Evitts Creek Road. The driver lost control and ran off of the embankment of State Route 3009, striking numerous trees. Strayer was pronounced dead on scene.
The driver suffered a minor head injury and was taken to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Both men were wearing seat belts. An investigation is ongoing.
