An area health system is hiring 2,000 more new employees.The announcement from Geisinger comes six months after the health system launched a campaign to hire 1,500 people.
The newest hires will work across the Geisinger system including the offices in State College, and Lewistown.
The job openings include 50 nursing positions in the State College area.
Geisinger says about half of the new positions will be direct caregivers, including Registered Nurses, Advanced Practitioners and Physicians.
