The Children’s Miracle Network held their annual luncheon Monday at the Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville.
Two local children benefit from the Children’s Miracle Network this year.
Three-year-old Savanna was born premature and was diagnosed with the twisting of the intestines, and 15-year-old Wayne is part of the Geisinger’s Weigh of Life Program.
Funding from CMN is used to buy equipment at local clinics.
“Whether that’s things like baby scales, or a transcutaneous bilirubin monitoring equipment, or programs even that help support children who have obesity problems or camps or what not,” explains the hospital’s CMN Chairman Paul Bellino.
Celebration weekend, the fundraising efforts, will be held June 3rd and 4th, 2017.
