Amtrak is hoping to make it easier for people to get to the upcoming presidential inauguration, by offering additional trains and seating capacity in the days before and after the event.
The operating plan has already been expanded for Northeast Regional Service.
Customers are encouraged to book early, as heavy travel is expected.
Inauguration Day is January 20.
