Meet the Altoona “Sparkle Effect” cheerleaders!
It’s a nationwide organization that brings together cheerleading and dance teams with and without disabilities.
Junior Kayley Burke started the Altoona branch last year.
She told us, “it’s just wonderful to see the smiles on their faces.To put the outfits on and I know their dreams are coming true. They’re able to say they are an AAHS cheerleader.”
The Altoona “Sparkle Effect” will be performing at two Altoona varsity football games, a junior varsity game, and a varsity soccer game this upcoming season.
