The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown has been approved to move its headquarters.
The office on Logan Boulevard near Garvey Manor, will relocate to the former Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School building on West Chestnut Avenue.
Bishop Mark Bartchak requested the move because he does not believe the catholic diocese needs three buildings for its administration.
The new location is in a residential area, but the diocese says it does not expect the change to cause excess traffic or parking issues.
