A new Amazon series is giving a special shout-out to Altoona.
Television producer, Ryan Zamo, created “Back Stabber,” an online series that highlights social issues.
Zamo said he wanted to create a small town environment where all of his twists and turns in the series could unfold.
“There was just something so intriguing about the name. And I loved the whole small town vibe. I visited once and I was like, oh duh, like this is perfect,” Zamo said.
The series was actually filmed in Los Angeles, but Zamo said the city of Altoona inspired the perfect backdrop for his show.
Zamo said the series focuses primarily promoting kindness and acceptance.
Season one of “Back Stabber” is now available on Amazon Prime.
