Three teenage boys charged in what St. Marys police call a home invasion remain in jail tonight.

The three teens are currently being charged as adults and were represented by three separate public defenders in court today.  They all waived their preliminary hearings.

The complaint says the trio was wearing masks and wanted to steal money from a safe inside a S.  Saint Marys Street home on Jan. 28 around 5 p.m.

The compaint says that Jarren Wendel, 16, held the gun, while Kenneth Kremple, 17, and Isaac Wehler, 17, scoured the house looking for valuables, before Wehler allegedly kicked the teen victim in the face on the way out.

Wendel is facing a robbery charge and a $250,000 bail, while Wehler has an aggravated assault charge and a $75,000 bail, and Kremple has a $50,000 bail.

All three are charged with burglary and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Police say the defendants could petition to send this to juvenile court, but that would be up to a judge.
