Later today the Penn State Board of Trustees will vote on a proposal to serve alcohol at athletic events. 

 

If the proposal passes, it will grant the University the ability to serve alcoholic beverages at certain intercollegiate athletic events, but only in suites, club seats and reception areas.

 

As for now, the proposal is not for general seating areas or student sections.
