This year marks the 15th commemoration of the September 11th attacks and a special event is coming to Centre County.
The 9/11 Heroes Run will take place on September 11, with opening ceremonies beginning at noon that day.
The 5K run will start at the Bryce Jordan Center with all proceeds benefiting the Travis Manion Foundation.
This year’s run will honor the 10 fallen heroes from Penn State since 9/11, with hopes of expanding it to all of Centre County’s fallen heroes next year.
This includes anyone in the military, police, fire or anyone who wears our nation’s colors.
The funds raised go directly back into the community to help local veterans and families of the fallen in the best way possible.
