At 10:47 pm on Saturday, April 9, the State College Police responded to a residence on the 100 block of Westerly Parkway in State College.  A 68 year old resident reported that at approximately 10 pm, a male entered his home through the rear door and demanded money.  The male was wearing a black ski mask, and pointed a handgun at the victim.  When the victim told the male he did not have any money, the male began to “pistol whip” the victim.  The victim was able to fight back, and after a lengthy struggle, the suspect fled the home using the rear door.  The victim told police that during the struggle with the attacker, he was able to partially remove the ski mask, revealing the male to be white, with short hair and a dirty blonde moustache.  He estimated the male to be in his late 20’s to early 30’s.  The attacker may also have sustained injuries during the struggle. The victim was taken to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The State College Police are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons or vehicles in this area around 10 pm Saturday evening to contact the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150, by email or submit an anonymous tip through our website.
