A 3 month old has died after suffering a serious brain injury.
Liberty McDonald passed away Sunday at 8:30 p.m. at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Liberty had been in the hospital since September 25 after state police say her father assaulted her in Somerset County.
Brandon Leer, 23, is accused of shaking his daughter causing the severe brain injury.
Police say the Friedens man admitted to shaking her for about a minute after the she would not stop crying,
Liberty was only 2 months old when the incident happened.
Leer is facing aggravated assault charges. No word on if or when new charges will be filed.
