An explosion killed 26 people and injured at least 70 in a fireworks market outside the Mexican capital.

The explosion tore apart the San Pablito fireworks market about 20 miles north of Mexico City.  The market was crowded with shoppers buying fireworks for the holidays when the blast struck, setting off a flurry of explosions. Similar fires destroyed hundreds of stands in two other incidents at the same market in 2005 and 2006.
