Police in Chester, Pa. have been under fire after a video went viral of an officer striking 20-year-old Dominique Difiore Saturday, March 16, shortly after 5 p.m.
They were attempting to get control of a rowdy, drunken group when a witness captured the footage.
According to the student filming, there were multiple fights that had happened prior to the police arriving.
Several arrests were made and the police are investigating all aspects of this situation.
“No one is currently on any modified, administrative or disciplinary duty at this point as a result of this incident. We will work with the Delaware County District Attorney’s office to conduct the police investigation. Nothing causes more problems down the line in these matters than a rush to judgment or action.”
