A new report says that the FAA is being investigated over the embattled Boeing 737 Max planes. The Wall Street Journal reports the department’s Inspector General has opened a probe into the approval of the plane.
The newspaper says the probe will focus on an automatic safety system implicated in last October’s crash of a 737 Max in Indonesia.
It’s not known if last week’s deadly crash of a similar plane in Ethiopia will play a part in this.
The report comes after all Boeing 737 Max planes were grounded last week.
