(CBS/WTAJ) — The Dark Phoenix hits theaters this Friday, June 7.

The movie follows beloved X-Men character Jean Gray, as she evolves into the iconic Dark Phoenix after being hit by a cosmic force during a rescue mission in space.

As Gray struggles with this unstable power and her own personal demons, she puts her X-Men family at risk, as well as the fabric of the planet.
