(CNN/WTAJ) — Just before Memorial Day, Boston Police are investigating who vandalized a Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Thursday, and why.
Police are calling it “hate-related,” and the video shows a swastika in black graffiti.
Flags were also torn down and thrown into the woods and several plants and flowers were ripped from the ground.
The historic memorial features the names of 80 service members who were killed during the Vietnam War.
Thursday’s vandalism comes after a World War II Memorial in Boston and a memorial dedicated to fallen police officers in Mattapan were targeted in March.
