“The Big Bang Theory” ending with a bang!
CBS and Warner Bros. TV announced Wednesday that the hugely popular, longest-running comedy series in TV history will be ending in 2019.
The show premiered on September 24, 2007 and ran for 12 seasons.
The show has won several People’s Choice Awards and earned Jim Parsons, who plays physicist Sheldon Cooper, four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Television Series.
The show’s cast has also made headlines in the past when the lead actors reportedly signed contracts earning them $1 million per episode.
In a statement on its website, Warner Bros. TV says the final episode will air on Monday, September 24, 2019.
