Rapper Mac Miller was honored in his hometown of Pittsburgh Tuesday night.
Thousands of people were expected to attend the vigil at the City’s Blue Slide Park.
The park was the namesake of Miller’s 2011 debut album.
Organizers called the vigil an opportunity to celebrate Miller’s life, discuss his struggles, and paying tribute to his work.
Artists were also invited to create what organizers called “live tribute art” for the event.
Miller died last week from a drug overdose. He was 26-years-old.
