WTAJ Originals: Psychologists explain mental illness in recent shooting

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that can cause delusions, hallucinations, disorganized thinking and abnormal motor behavior.

Osaze Osagie suffered from paranoid schizophrenia, which played a part in his death in the officer-involved shooting in March.

But to understand what Osagie was going through, our Devin Jackson sat down with licensed psychologist Dr. Marolyn Morford to discuss how the disease affects people.
