Shawn Rapp joins the WTAJ News Team as a Reporter in the Johnstown Bureau.
He comes to Central PA’s News Leader after reporting as an intern for ABC27 News in Harrisburg during his senior year of college. Shawn graduated from Shippensburg University, majoring in Communication/Journalism. While at Shippensburg, he reported and anchored for the campus television station, SUTV News, and was also involved with the school’s radio station, WSYC-FM.
Shawn is excited to start his career in the Johnstown Bureau, reporting for the local community and being able to connect with members of the community.
Moving to the area wasn’t anything new for him. He has been a Central PA native his whole life, as he grew up in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
In his spare time, Shawn enjoys going to the gym, playing ping-pong or basketball and exploring the local community. He is a huge Indianapolis Colts and Pacers fan, so if you’re an NFL or NBA fan, let him know!
