Peter Terpstra grew up in the Midwest, but he belongs in Big Ten country. He started his career at KLKN in Lincoln, Nebraska, before taking a trip down south and working for KMID in Odessa, Texas.

Peter grew up in Jefferson City, Missouri, and picked up a journalism degree at the University of Missouri. He joined the WTAJ team as Sports Director in June 2018.

He has felt champagne showers in a major (and minor) league locker room. He has covered football games in front of 100,000 people. He has covered arena football. He has even covered six-man football in Texas oil country.

Yes, six-man football is a thing.

The gridiron is great, but Peter says his favorite sport is wrestling. He started wrestling in fourth grade – even attending a team camp hosted by Penn State legendary coach Cael Sanderson in high school.

You can find Peter cooking up something yummy in the kitchen when he is not at the game. Follow him on twitter (@PeetaWTAJ) and you can email him all of your criticisms at PTerpstra@wtajtv.com.
