Join the Laurel Highlands Historical Village for the Veterans Recognition Event and Bike Run to Support Veterans!
The Veterans Recognition Event and Bike Run to Support Veterans is set for Saturday, May 13 beginning with the Recognition Event at 9:30 am at Rocky’s Tavern in Woodvale. A free breakfast will be provided to attending veterans. At 9:30, veterans from all wars and conflicts will be honored. The ceremony will include presentations from local politicians and various community leaders.
The Bike Run gets underway at 11:00 am rain or shine! The ride will take you south of Johnstown through Somerset County and back to the tavern around 5:00 pm. There will be a BBQ dinner served after the ride. Guest speakers will be available throughout the day to talk to veterans about their specific needs, including healthcare, housing and more.
