A special screening of The Turn Out will raise funds for the Historic Rowland Theatre in Phillipsburg.
The Turn Out is a fictionalized narrative about a trucker who must decide whether or not he will take a stand against trafficking at his truck stop in small town Appalachia. This story works to bring together testimony of sex trafficking survivors, anti-trafficking activists, and truckers with the work of film professionals to create an unflinching docu-drama of moral dilemma and personal connection.
There will be a screening of The Turn Out at the Rowland Theatre in Philipsburg on Saturday, April 28 at 7:00 pm. Following the screening will be an audience Q&A session with the filmmaker, survivors of sex trafficking, actors, and local activists. Get your tickets today! Please note that this film contains mature content.
