Summer is just around the corner, and Central Blair Recreation & Park Commission has something for everyone!
Sign-ups are underway for the 2017 T-Ball & Instructional Baseball season. T-Ball is an eight week evening and Saturday program for children ages 4 and 5. The program will focus on the basics of baseball from fielding to hitting and base running as well the rules of baseball. The games will be held at Fye Field at Greenwood Park in Altoona. There will be an organizational meeting for parents at the Sixth Ward Center in Altoona on Thursday, May 11 at 5:30 pm. Registration is $35 through Wednesday, May 10, and $42 after that. The cost includes a hat, t-shirt and certificate of participation.
Instructional Baseball is a six week evening program for children ages 6, 7, 8, and 9. The program offer the basic fundamental of baseball including hitting, fielding, and base running. An organizational meeting for parents will be help Wednesday, July 12 at 5:30 pm at the Sixth Ward Center in Altoona. Registration is $35 through Tuesday, July 11, and $42 after that.
