A fish gets its revenge, a former big leaguer visits, a hockey movie celebrating its 40th anniversary, and $1 grand stand and bleacher seats are coming up this home stand in Curve, PA!

The Altoona Curve return home tonight to begin a seven game home stand starting with a three-game series against the Erie SeaWolves. Tonight, is the first of two Star Wars Nights and the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive an Al Tuna “Revenge of the Fish” Bobble. There will also be “Star Wars” re-enactors. Saturday night former Major Leaguer Jose Canseco will be in town to take part in a home run derby against seven local competitors! There will be a 1 hour meet and greet, and it’s “Star Wars” Night part two with more re-enactors and Star Wars themed music for fireworks. Sunday is Armed Forces Day and after the game there will be fireworks! All games begin at 6:00 pm. Note, beginning with this home stand, standard Sunday game time is now 6:00 pm.

The Akron RubberDucks come to town for a four game series Monday through Thursday. Monday is a Salute to the Railroad, and Tuesday you can celebrate the 40th anniversary of the movie that made the Cambria County War Memorial Arena famous, “Slap Shot”! You can get $1 Grand Stand and Bleacher seats to Monday and Tuesday’s game with the code word: “CPL Tickets”. First pitch for those games is scheduled for 6:00 pm. Start your day off with baseball on Wednesday and Thursday with the final two School Kids Day games beginning at 10:30 am.
