A therapy program involving horses is helping veterans with life after the military.
Victory Therapeutic Horsemanship provides horseback riding therapy that helps veterans deal with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injuries and coping with physical ailments.
Founded in 2015 by John Zanella, a 20-year Army veteran with 11 combat tours, he now brings this same kind of program to Central Pennsylvania after finding the will to not become a statistic himself. The Bellwood based program, which holds classes at Next Level Horsemanship in Port Matilda, holds eight week courses that are designed to work with a “Ground Up” approach.
