Are you hosting a party for the Big Game? How about serving chips and guacamole? Chef Mario Porreca shares his recipe in this Central PA Live Flashback.  

Guacamole

Yield: about 6 servings

2 avocados, pits removed and peeled

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

½ lime, juice only

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

5 tablespoons salsa, drained

Celery salt to taste

Cayenne pepper to taste

Procedure:

1). In a food processor, combine the avocado, mayonnaise, and lime juice and pulse until roughly pureed (lumps in the mixture is fine).

2). Transfer the avocado mixture to a medium sized mixing bowl and use a rubber spatula to fold the chopped cilantro and drained salsa into the avocado mixture.

3). Season to taste with celery salt and cayenne pepper and serve with corn chips.
