Help the Mountain Lion BackPack Program fight childhood hunger this holiday season!
Several restaurants in the Altoona area are teaming up with the Mountain Lion BackPack program to put an end to hunger in our area. For many kids, breakfast and lunch at school are the only meals they’ll eat, leaving them hungry over the weekend. The Feed it Forward Campaign is a way for residents, patrons and restaurants to give these children a chance to succeed by helping them get food for the weekend.
The following restaurants have committed to participating on Wednesday, December 14:
Al’s Tavern – donating $3 for every sales ticket (The cost for feeding one child over a weekend)
Best Way Pizza in Greenwood – donating 5% of sales
Chewy’s Pizza – donating 10% of all sales
Chili’s – donating 10% of all sales
Denny’s – donating 10 of sales from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm
Knickerbocker – donating portions of their sales all day
Nicoletta’s Family Restaurant – donating 10% of all sales
Primanti Bros. – donating protions of their sales all day
Taco-the-town – donating $3 from every Eat a Bowl
Tavern 27 – donating 10% of all sales
Tim’s Cafe – donating $3 for every sales ticket
US Hotel Tavern – donating portions of their sales all day
