Cooking for Crowds: A Volunteer’s Guide to Safe Food Handling is set for Thursday, May 12 at Albright Bethune United Methodist Church in State College, and Tuesday, May 17 at Hope Community Church in Altoona. There will also be a class at Allegany College of Maryland in Somerset on Tuesday, July 12. All three classes run from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
Participants will learn about the causes of foodborne illness as well as safe food handling practices relating to:
Preventing Cross Contamination
Controlling Time and Temperature
Good Personal Hygiene
Cleaning and Sanitizing
Planning a Successful Food Event
