A local teen center will soon be moving to a new building!
Renovations are underway at the new Blair County Teen Center and Shelter, which sits across from the Altoona Area High School. The shelter provides emergency housing for teens for up to 21 days. For those not staying, the center offers a safe environment to hang out.
Tomorrow, during WTAJ’s inaugural Founder’s Day of Caring, our employees will be volunteering at the new building. You may see us planting shrubs, washing windows, or cleaning out the garage!
